Make Kids Matter is a nonprofit organization founded in 2023, dedicated to improving the lives of children and youth, primarily in the Valley, Arizona. Our mission is to provide support, resources, and opportunities that empower children to thrive, grow, and achieve their full potential. Through innovative programs, community partnerships, and a commitment to excellence, we address the challenges children face today—from education and health to emotional well-being and personal development.

Our dedicated team of staff, board members, and volunteers work tirelessly to create meaningful programs that make a tangible difference in children’s lives. Matthias Brown – Operations Director / CEO

As Operations Director at Makes Kids Matter, Matthias Brown oversees the organization’s day-to-day operations, ensuring that programs and initiatives run efficiently and effectively. He manages internal processes, coordinates cross-functional teams, and implements strategies to maximize the impact of the organization’s efforts to support children in need. Matthias plays a key role in program planning, resource allocation, and operational logistics, making sure that every initiative aligns with the organization’s mission to improve the lives of children and families. His work ensures that the organization delivers measurable results while maintaining operational excellence and sustainability.

Jennifer Doeuver – Event Coordinator / Community Outreach

Jennifer Doeuver provides strategic leadership and governance oversight, ensuring the organization fulfills its mission to support children and families. She spearheads initiatives to strengthen community engagement, build partnerships, and advocate for programs that address local needs. Jennifer plays a key role in shaping organizational policies, guiding board decisions, and fostering collaboration across teams. Her expertise in community outreach and advocacy ensures that Makes Kids Matter remains responsive, effective, and aligned with the needs of the children and families it serves.

John Smith – Fundraiser

As Fundraiser for Make Kids Matter, John Smith leads the organization’s fundraising and resource development efforts to ensure long-term sustainability and growth. He is responsible for identifying funding opportunities, building relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners, and supporting grant and campaign strategies.John works closely with the executive team to align fundraising initiatives with organizational goals, track fundraising performance, and maximize financial support for programs. His efforts help secure the resources needed to expand services and strengthen the organization’s ability to positively impact children, teens, and families.

Quentin Truelove – Board Chair/Community Advocate


 Quentin Truelove contributes strategic insight and expertise in financial management, community engagement, and organizational growth. He advises Makes Kids Matter on initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and program impact while fostering partnerships with local businesses and community organizations. David’s guidance helps the organization expand its reach, strengthen financial sustainability, and ensure that programs deliver meaningful outcomes for children and families.
