Make Kids Matter’s Youth Basketball Program is a free camp day and ongoing program that gives West Valley children a welcoming place to play, learn, and grow. Open to every skill level, it pairs real fundamentals with mentorship from Arizona State University students. Kids leave with more confidence than they arrived with, and free apparel to keep. Like all of our programming, there is no cost and no barrier to entry.
Kids learn to communicate, share the ball, and win and lose together, forming friendships that last past the season.
Every child gets real playing time and encouragement, so they see their own progress and believe in what they can do.
Dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense taught at every level, from first-timers to kids ready for the next step.
ASU student athletes and volunteers serve as near-peer role models, showing kids what focus and effort can lead to.

Every player receives free Make Kids Matter gear to wear and keep, so they feel part of the team from day one.
